Excellent condition German WW2 dress bayonet made by Gustav Spitzer. Nickel-plated zinc hilt with black Bakelite grip plates held by two steel rivets. Clean steel blade with no sharpening marks. This is the short model dress bayonet. The backside of the blade is stamped with the large maker’s mark “C. Gustav Spitzer Solingen” with a lion in the middle. The brown leather buffer pad is securely in place. The steel scabbard retains most of its original black paint, with a small dent on the backside.
