Very rare first production HJ knife with eagle head hilt made by Ernst Pack & Sohn. Nickel plated steel hilt with the eagle head design on the top. Black Bakelite grip plates with the typical pack diamond shapes held on by two steel screws. Narrow HJ grip emblem that moves when touched. Some of the enamel is broken and missing. Early steel blade without ricasso showing corrosion on both sides. The front of the blade is etched with the HJ motto “Blut und Ehre!”. The backside of the blade is stamped with the “Ges. Gesch. E. P. & S. Solingen” makers mark. Anodized steel scabbard with black leather belt loop and working snap button. One of the rarest and most desirable HJ knives out there.
