Extremely rare German WW1 butcher bayonet with double etched blade made by WKC. Steel hilt with working bayonet attachment button. Wooden grip plates held on by two steel screws. Nickel plated steel blade, etched on both sides. The frontside of the blade is stamped with the imperial WKC logo. The frontside etching reads “Fukart. Regt. v. Findersin (1. Pomm.) N°2”. As far as I know this is the 1st Pomeranian Regiment N°2 lead by the historical figure Von Findersin. The backside of the blade is etched with typical imperial motifs. The blade is sharpened on the cutting edge and near the tip. There is also a dent in the blade near the tip on the backside. The black leather scabbard has steel scabbard fittings held on by four staples. The bayonet does not go all the way inside the scabbard with 3mm of distance. A truly rare piece for an imperial collection.
