Mint condition original German WW2 etched K98 parade dress bayonet made by Carl Eickhorn. The bayonet features a clean nickel-plated hilt with stag horn grip plates attached by two steel rivets. The green felt insert remains in place in the bayonet slot. The mint nickel-plated steel blade has the typical Eickhorn infantry etching on the front, featuring the infantry symbol, an Army eagle and the inscription Für Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit (“For remembrance of my service time”). The back of the blade is stamped with the Eickhorn logo. The leather buffer pad is intact. The scabbard retains its original black paint in fantastic condition. The bayonet is complete with a brown leather bayonet frog and a green and silver bayonet portepee.
