Late war Army officers dagger, unmarked. White plastic mold grip with generic zinc cross guard and pommel screw. The grip and cross guard sit slightly loose. Steel blade showing cross grain and corrosion marks. No makers mark. Leather buffer pad in place. Steel scabbard with single scabbard screw in place on the backside. The scabbard is lightly corroded. The dagger is complete with a long silver Army portepee and Army dagger hangers with an aluminum top ring, aluminum buckles and zinc bottom clips, marked by Assmann. The top straps have been resewed. I am unable to open the hanger clips so they are stuck to the dagger.
